To check this, I removed my compiled SSDT-UIAC.aml file from /Volumes/EFI/Clover/ACPI/patched and restarted. Since the card reader did not appear as an obvious entry in System Report > Hardware > USB, I was wondering if it appeared at a port that I did not inject. I have resolved this by modifying the SSDT used for USB port injection. Has anyone used this method to get a card reader working? An inserted SD card does not appear anywhere in IO reg so it's hard to know how to proceed. I have a custom SSDT to get my USB working and I am wondering if I need to change that. I tried inserting the same data into Apple_internal_SD_Card_Reader_3_00 and Apple_internal_SD_Card_Reader_4_00 as well as 1 and 2, but that changes nothing. This did not work and SD cards are still not recognized in the data hub. At any rate, I converted the hex value for produce id and vendor id to decimal and inserted those values in the locations specified in the guide. What is listed is USB 2.0 Hub, which I assume is the 4 jack USB 2 hub on the data hub that is working. There is nothing there labeled USB 2.0-CRW. I was supposed to find the card reader at System Info >Hardware > USB with a name like USB 2.0-CRW. No matter which of the 4 jacks you put a stick in, it appears at HS14.

All 4 of these are detected as a hub at HS14. I guess I assumed that the card reader would be detected at the same port as the data hub USB2 jacks. All of the ports I have injected are for USB jacks on the box. Is there a way to get the card reader functionality working? Since it is a USB device, I am wondering if I just don't have the correct HSxx port injected in my SSDT. It is hard to imagine why it is not detected since USB2 memory sticks are detected and they are entering the system through the same motherboard header. It does not appear on the desktop, it does not appear in Finder, and it does not appear in IO reg. If I insert an SD card into the card reader, it is not detected in any way. The USB3 is connected to the 22-pin USB3 motherboard header and the USB2 to a 9-pin USB motherboard header. I have the USB2 and USB3 jacks on the data hub working fine as well. The eSATA jack works correctly and I have used it many times with an external drive.
